What to Know Before You Run


GENERAL INFORMATION

When and where is the race?

The race will take place on 11th February2026 in Cork / 18th February 2026 in Dublin and 4th March in Luxemburg.

The starting gun goes off at different times in each location. This can be found in your emails.

Please arrive early for check-in and warm-up.

What time does it start?

The race is exactly 5 miles (8.05 kilometres).

  • Cork - 8:00pm Start
  • Dublin - 8:00pm Start
  • Luxembourg - 8:00pm Start

Who can participate?

Runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels are welcome! Minors must have a signed waiver from a parent or guardian. Minimum age is 16 accompanied.

REGISTRATION

How do I register for the race?

You can register online at www.runthenightseries.com. Online registration closes 7 days prior to race date.

What’s included in the registration fee?

Your registration includes a race bib, chip timing, finisher medal, and post-race refreshments.

Can I register on race day?

NO – collection can only be done prior to race day or posted.

PACKET POSTAGE & PICKUP

When and where is packet pickup?

Detailed information will be sent by email, this is different for each location.

Can someone else pick up my race packet?

Yes. Please ensure they bring a copy of the QR registration code.

When will race packs be posted?

Cork postage will commence 4th February 2026, Dublin 10th February 2026

What do I do if my pack does not arrive?

Please allow 5 days for AnPost delivery after that contact us though our online form.

RACE DAY DETAILS

Is the course certified and timed?

Yes! The course is accurately measured and professionally chip-timed.

Are strollers or pets allowed?

Unfortunately, strollers and pets are not allowed for safety reasons.

Will there be water stations on the course?

No, medical teams will have emergency water. otherwise water will be located at the finishline.

Where can I park?

You can park at any location throughout the cities. Or where possible use public transport.

RESULTS & AWARDS

Will there be awards?

Yes. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers overall and age group categories will be posted out post event.

How can I find my results?

Results will be posted at the event and online later that day at www.sportsplits.com or the event website.

OTHER

Is the race timed if I walk it?

Absolutely! Walkers receive chip timing just like runners. Please note there may be a time limit for course closure. At the moment this is 1hr:10mins.

What if it rains?

The race will happen rain or shine! However, in the case of severe weather, we will post updates on our Website or Social Media channels.
